College of Southern Nevada
Medical Assisting: CA
Why We Recommend It
CSN earns our recommendation for combining CAAHEP-accredited certificate training with remote lectures, campus laboratories, and a clinical externship. Southern Nevada students can use that mix to limit some classroom travel while retaining supervised practice. Your lab campus and placement schedule still determine the trips you'll need to make.

Remote Lectures With Required Practice at CSN Campuses
College of Southern Nevada's Certificate of Achievement combines remote lecture delivery with practical attendance in the Las Vegas and Henderson area. Most medical assisting lectures are online or web-remote, while laboratories meet at West Charleston and Henderson. The curriculum covers clinical and laboratory procedures, medical records, office administration, and an externship. CSN identifies CAAHEP accreditation for the Medical Assisting Certificate of Achievement, making the exact program and campus arrangements worth checking together.
Build your travel plan around the laboratory schedule before deciding how much flexibility the online lectures give you. CSN's published lower-division registration fee is only one part of the education budget, so include applicable course, technology, and residency charges. The program also reports examination and retention outcomes for identified periods. Keep those periods attached when comparing results, and ask how clinical placement works for your planned start.
A Good Fit For
Students able to attend CSN laboratories who want remote delivery for much of the lecture coursework.
Plan Around
